KYTOS is pleased to announce our latest trip, in association with the Dissection Club:
The Old Operating Theatre Museum and Herb Garret is a museum of surgical history and one of the oldest surviving operating theatres. It is located in the garret of St Thomas's Church, Southwark, in London, on the original site of St Thomas' Hospital.
The trip will involve a full tour of the specimens and artefacts on display, and a special demonstration of Victorian surgery in the operating theatre itself.
We will be leaving college at around 12.30pm and returning at approximately 5.30pm on the day. If you wish to attend, please provisionally sign up using the form on this site. Letters will then be sent home to parents/guardians of the first 40 students who apply. This must be signed and returned by the specified date, with the appropriate payment (cost TBC shortly)
Please check you can make this date before submitting your request. Please also note that signing up below does not guarantee your place - you will be contacted if a slot has been allocated to you, and a letter will be sent which you must print off and sign, as well as a parent/guardian. You will need to return the attached permission slip to the Biology department office by Friday 17 October. You will not have access to pay for the trip until the permission slip has been returned. Only then, will the trip payment will be visible on CristalWeb under Online Payments.
